Self Defense
NOT being the target for burglary or mugging has a lot to do with confidence, attitude and awareness. Knowing how to avoid being the target, deter a potential attacker, and defend yourself if attacked can bolster all 3 of these essential elements. Knowledge IS Power.
Crescent Lotus Studio and Emily Snyder are happy to offer this FREE 3 Session Self Defense Series. Yes, FREE, because this is information that has no price tag.

Time: 5:45pm-7pm
The three-part series will cover basic know-how of self-defense, building on skills to give participants a higher level of confidence and self-awareness.
First Session: "How to Not Have to Defend Yourself; Grabs and Strikes"
Second Session: "Chokes, Bear Hugs & Ground Work"
Third Session: "Weapons Defense & Review"
Attire: Comfortable clothes will help you feel free to move as you practice but you may consider wearing your normal attire since a potential attacker isn't about to let you "slip into something more comfortable"

Emily Snyder began her life as a martial artist when she was 7-years-old. She has studied eight martial arts, and holds a second-degree Black Belt in Mudokai Karate, a modern form created by a developmental psychologist, focusing on the way people actually learn and move. She has taught women's self-defense classes intermittently for the past five years to a variety of groups and demographics. Her goal is that her students will never need to use the techniques they learn in her workshops.
